I finished my workweek early this afternoon and am taking a long vacation until Monday the 19th, with a trip to Tennessee this weekend and then back out again to Boston. I particularly like road trips in October, seeing the colorful autumn leaves along the highways. Wishing bright and wonderful adventures to everyone!

  1. We are in upper lower Michigan this weekend to do do fall cleanup and winter prep over the long weekend. The foliage is stunning. Enjoy your break away and your competition next weekend. You are going to do amazing!

    • Thanks much! On Saturday morning there were hurricane remnants in Tennessee and awful rowing conditions, which made my husband’s single race basically an exercise in survival. The officials cancelled singles after that because it was getting worse, so I did not row on Saturday.

We had good weather for our Sunday double race, and although we finished middle of the pack, we improved our time from previous years and were happy about that. 😊 Back home today, and heading out again tomorrow.
