Sometimes it can be hard to find energy when, like this week, it’s just one dark winter day after another. Still, there are many reasons to be grateful. Even the little things, like a flameless candle on my desk and a colorful lighted keyboard that my husband gave me for Christmas, add up to feeling well nurtured and cared for—when we take the time to notice them.

Word-art that says "Grateful for being" and many other words with a candle image.

  1. Beautiful post, Meg! A great reminder to be grateful, it’s not easy in these grey days of winter. A flameless candle! Never heard about it! Should be gorgeous!

  2. Here in Texas — we are confused during this season called “Winter” — we go through a series of days that are gloomier than usual, and then we have a day like today where it reached the mid-70s but by Wednesday we will have a “wintry mix”. It’s not just nature that is confused! Love your two nurturing gifts — they certainly will help during the darker months! Thank you for sharing and linking with Nurturing Thursday!

    • It’s warm here in Ohio today also, but will turn colder tomorrow — probably the same wintry weather passing through on its way to Texas. Nature can’t seem to make up her mind.
